Terms for People Booking Sessions

These terms are for you if you book a session through a SessionLayer booking page. You do not need an account. SessionLayer is operated by Big Freight Life LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("SessionLayer", "we", "us"). By booking, you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 to book. If you are younger, a parent or guardian must book for you.

SessionLayer is only the scheduling tool. The business you book with provides your session. We do not provide, supervise, or guarantee any session, and we give no professional, legal, medical, financial, or other advice. The session is an agreement between you and the business.

Each business sets its own prices, cancellation and rescheduling rules, refund rules, and any booking terms you are asked to accept. They are shown before you book. Read them: you are agreeing to them with the business, not with us.

When a session costs money, you pay the business through Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, not to SessionLayer. If you cancel online in time and the business’s rule includes a refund, SessionLayer starts that refund for the business automatically and tells you the amount before you confirm. Otherwise, SessionLayer cannot refund a payment on a business’s behalf or decide a dispute about a session, a refund, or a charge. Contact the business first, and then your card issuer if needed.

By booking, you agree that we may email you about your booking on the business’s behalf: confirmations, reminders, changes, any shared agenda, and receipts. These are not marketing emails. Replies to them go to the business, not to us. Your meeting link may be from Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom, which have their own terms.

Do not make fake or repeated bookings, hold times you do not plan to use, use bots or scripts, send spam or abuse, give someone else’s details without their permission, or try to break or overload the service. We may block access or cancel bookings that break these rules. Information you give must be accurate.

The business you book with decides what information it collects from you and what it does with it. SessionLayer handles it on the business’s behalf. To see, fix, or delete your information, ask the business, or contact us and we will point you to the right place. Read the Privacy Policy. Do not put health records, card numbers, Social Security numbers, passwords, or similar sensitive details in booking forms or notes.

If you start booking from another product, such as a StoryView recording, that product may share the context you chose to bring with you (for example the recording title, a moment or excerpt, or your question) so the business can prepare. That product is separate, with its own terms and privacy policy, and it may receive a booking reference back so it can show that you booked.

A booking page may offer a suggestion tool that proposes a session or drafts notes. Suggestions can be wrong. They are not advice, so check them before you rely on them. They do not change a business’s prices or availability.

BOOKING PAGES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS. WE DO NOT PROMISE THAT A PAGE WILL ALWAYS WORK, THAT A BOOKING, EMAIL, OR REMINDER WILL ARRIVE, OR THAT A BUSINESS WILL SHOW UP OR DELIVER. Calendar, video, email, and payment services used with your booking belong to other companies, and we are not responsible for them.

BECAUSE YOU PAY SESSIONLAYER NOTHING, TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS BIG FREIGHT LIFE LLC IS NOT LIABLE TO YOU FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS FROM A SESSION OR FROM THE BUSINESS YOU BOOKED WITH, EVEN IF CAUSED BY OUR NEGLIGENCE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO SESSIONLAYER IS LIMITED TO $100. These limits do not apply to liability that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for gross negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct. Some laws do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Your claims against the business you booked with are not affected.

Texas law governs these terms. Before filing a claim, try to resolve it informally with us for 30 days after written notice. Claims against us must be brought in the state or federal courts in Dallas County, Texas, or as an individual claim in small-claims court. There is no mandatory arbitration and no class-action waiver.

If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a right is not giving it up. We may update these terms; the version posted when you book applies to that booking. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 AA on booking pages; tell us about any barrier.
